Walking from CDC to CDC fundraiser Donate On Saturday 19 September, the team behind the construction of Boston's new community diagnostic centre will take on a two-day walk in a bid to raise £30,000 to improve healthcare for patients in Lincolnshire. The team from United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (ULTH) and MTX and Day Project Management will walk more than 55 miles from Skegness Community Diagnostic Centre to the site of the new centre at Boston before arriving at Lincoln Community Diagnostic Centre on Sunday 20 September. This incredible effort will coincide with the 30th anniversary of United Lincolnshire Hospitals Charity and funds raised will fund two separate initiatives within ULTH: A kitten scanner to help children to overcome their fear and anxiety of having an MRI scan. This play therapy reduces the need for children to have anaesthetic prior to a scan, resulting in a better experience for the child with less risk and less time spent in hospital. Enhancements for treatments for patients living with breast cancer. This is extremely dear to our hearts as one of the team is currently undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer, so it will be wonderful for us to be able to give something back to the team who are caring for her. Your generosity will help us transform healthcare for so many patients and their families across Lincolnshire. Alistair Nelson Manage Cookie Preferences
