Sam's Snowden Sunrise Challenge 2026 Donate I’m taking on a sunrise walk up Snowdon to raise funds for ULHT Charitable Funds — a cause I feel deeply passionate about through both my work and personal experience. Over the past year, life has been more challenging than I expected, and I’ve had to work hard to find my way back to a place of strength and motivation. Signing up to this challenge is part of that journey — a way of moving forward again with purpose. What makes this even more meaningful to me is how much of a difference these charitable funds make to cancer patients and their families. These funds support the “extras” that often sit outside of core NHS funding but have a huge impact on patient care and wellbeing. Within cancer services, they are used for a wide range of resources that help people feel supported, seen, and cared for during an incredibly difficult time. I have personally been able to use charitable funding to support the HOPE course — a programme designed to help patients at the end of their active treatment — by funding the professional printing of course booklets for those attending. They also provide thoughtful resources for patients who are parents, including worry monster toys and specialist children’s books, given freely to families to help them navigate difficult conversations with their children. As funding becomes more stretched, these charitable contributions are more important than ever. They allow us to continue offering compassionate, holistic support — the kind that truly makes a lasting difference. By sponsoring me to climb Snowdon, you are directly supporting these vital funds and helping us continue to care for cancer patients and their families in meaningful ways. This climb will be a personal challenge, but every step I take will be with the intention of raising money for this important cause. Thank you so much for your support — it genuinely makes a difference. Sam Lewis Manage Cookie Preferences
