I am raising money for United Lincolnshire Hospitals Charity to help support patients, families, and NHS staff across our local hospitals. The charity funds vital extras that make a real difference, from improving hospital facilities and providing essential equipment to supporting staff wellbeing and helping families during difficult times. This cause is especially important to me because it directly benefits our community and helps ensure patients receive the best possible care and comfort when they need it most.

Thanks to fundraising, the charity has been able to support some truly meaningful projects, including an MRI play-therapy kitten scanner that helps children feel less frightened by showing them what will happen during their scan. Funds have also provided scalp-cooling devices to help reduce hair loss for patients undergoing chemotherapy, craft workshops that support the wellbeing of the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service Learning Disability team, and special days out for children with diabetes so they can see they are not alone in their condition. Dignity packs containing snacks, underwear, and essential toiletries have also been created to support patients during unexpected hospital stays.

At some point in our lives, we—or someone we love—may need one of these small but incredibly important acts of care.
